"We consider extension as a space for cooperation between the university and other actors in the society of which it is part. This area must contribute to the improvement of people's quality of life and is linked to the social purpose of Higher Education: social democratization, social justice and the right to universal education; all these are materialized through concrete actions with social organizations, government organizations and other community institutions, from multi and interdisciplinary perspectives mainly.  "THE UNIVERSITY IN THE SOCIETY" program promotes the development of extension projects, considering them as workplaces with the State in its different jurisdictions and with various actors of the community, addressing the most diverse and complex social and productive problems, in a given territory. The extension actions are developed from an interactive and dialogical approach between scientific knowledge and the knowledge and the needs of the participating community.

The activities are carried out by technical teams made up of professors, students, graduates, and non-teaching staff from all the faculties and institutes of the university, together with provincial, national and international, public or private organizations and institutions.

Numbers of UNNE in society

More than 100 annual projects presented by professors from the 11 faculties of the university that are developed in the provinces of Chaco, Corrientes, Misiones, southern of Formosa, and northern of Santa Fe.

More than 1500 people from the university community participate annually in the realization and development of the projects, whose financial issues are in charge of the UNNE.
